Our Story

Welcome to our blog, it is fun to have you here to read about our little life here in AZ. Matt and I have been married for 13 happy years. We moved to sunny, AZ after both graduating from Southern Utah University (which is where we met.) We moved here so Matt could attend dental school. During school, we were blessed with two, darling little boys and our third little guy came shortly after Matt graduated. Wade is 11, Seth is 9 and Trent is 6. They are BUSY little boys who keep us on our toes, but we love it! We are still over the moon for our fourth child, A GIRL, Rylee who is 5! Our newest addition, Casen Judd, is 2 and is the sweetest thing on this Earth :)! Rylee will get to be our little princess forever. The boys will have lots of fun too! I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in August 2012. We have been fighting the fight of our lives since then and do not plan to give up anytime soon. Very thankful for our family, friends, neighborhood, but most of all our knowledge of the Gospel that carries us through each day. We know our family is forever!

Wade: "When I grow up and get married, I'm not going to see my wife very much."

Me: "Why not?"

Wade: "Well if you play in the NFL you have to travel a lot so I won't see her."

Me: "What about during the off season?"

Wade: "Well, I guess I'll see her then."

Trent: "Mommy, you have to be very soft with me because I have a baby in my belly."

Seth: "Why are you and dad going to the Temple? Is one of your friends getting married?"

Me: "No, we are going because Heavenly Father has asked us to. We are going through the Temple for people who have died so they will have the opportunity to accept the Gospel."

Seth: "Like Michael Jackson?"

Me: "Yes, like Michael Jackson."

Seth: "The doctor gave Michael Jackson too much medicine so his heart stopped and he died. He is in Heaven. You can go to the Temple for him."

Me: "Yes, that sounds like a good idea."

Seth: "Stop acting like a baby, Trent."

Trent: "I'm not a baby, you're a baby Sep!"

Me: "Say: Love you Mommy."

Trent: "Love you Mommy."

Me: "Love you Daddy."

Trent: "Love you Daddy."

Me: "Love you Wade."

Trent: "Love you Wii."

Me: "Love you Seth."

Trent: "Love you Sep."

Me: "Love you Rylee."

Trent: "Love you Ry-ee."

Seth: "Mom, are we going out to dinner tonight?"

Me: "No."

Wade: "Seth, why do you always ask if we are going out to dinner?"

Seth: "Because I like to go out to dinner, I like to get pop."

Wade: "Seth, you can't drink too much pop or you will get fat and have to go on Biggest Loser and exercise all day until you get in shape again."

Wade [to Rylee]: "Hi, Rylee sweet baby."

Wade [to me] : "Mom, we couldn't have asked for a better girl...or a prettier one!"

Me: "Look Seth, they are starting to build the Temple right over there."

Seth: "Are they building it for you and dad to go in?"

Me: "Yes, they are."

Seth: "Are you going to get married in there?"

Me: "No, we already got married in the Temple by Ampa's house."

Seth: "Can we go inside?"

Me: "Yes, before they dedicate the Temple, you can come inside and look around with mom and dad. When you are 12 you can go inside and do baptisms for the dead too."

Seth: "Do we have to wear fancy clothes?"

Me: "Fancy clothes?"

Seth: "Yeah, like marrying clothes?"

Me: "No, church clothes are fine."

Seth: "Mom where is Ju?"

Me: "She is staying at Ampa's and visiting Marshall."

Seth: "So, she is staying with Ampa and can see Marsha whenever she wants?"

Wade: "His name is Marshall, if his name were Marsha he would be a girl."

later on that day:

Seth: [while skipping down the hall] "Ju is staying with Ampy and seeing Marsha whenever she wants!"

Me: (Sigh) :) "Sethie, his name is Marshall."

[Matt turned the TV to "American Idol"]

Wade: "Dad!, I don't want to watch this show. I do not like it. I do not like Stake Conference.

Matt: Stake Conference?

Wade: I mean General Conference, I do not like to watch it.

Matt: Wade, this is "American Idol" not General Conference

Wade: Well, I don't like that show. It's so boring.

Wade: "Mom, Seth and I decided we don't want to travel anymore. We just want people to come and see us here."
Me: "How come?"
Wade: "Because when we drive for a long time it makes me hot and sweaty and it hurts my boose to sit there."

Wade: "Can I have the green Christmas shoe?"
Me: "Green Christmas shoe?"
Wade: "Yes, I want to have the green Christmas shoe and Seth can have the blue one, is that okay?"
Me: "Oh, are you talking about the stockings?"
Wade: "Yeah, can I have the green one?"

Seth: "Mom, I have swine flu."
Me: "You do?"
Seth: "Yes, I keep coughing."
Me: "I'm sorry to hear that."
Seth: "Yeah, I have swine flu because I keep coughing all the time."

Me: "What treat do you want?"
Seth: "I want those sticky M&M's."
Me: "Sticky M&M's?"
Seth: "Yeah, you know those sticky one's that don't have chocolate in them?'
Me: "Oh, you mean Skittles?"
Seth: "Yes Skittles, that is what I want, please."

Me: "Now I hope you guys (Wade and Seth) act a lot better in the next store than you did in the store we were just in."
Wade: "Mom, we will act better." Jesus is telling my brain that I need to act better. What is Jesus telling your brain to do?"

Wade: "Mom, are you going to find out, today, if your baby is a girl or a boy?"
Me: "Yes, I am. What do you think the baby is?"
Wade: "A girl!"
(He has always said it was going to be a girl since the day I told him I was pregnant!)

Me: "He gave you a hug and a kiss and sent you down to be with mom and dad."
Wade: "You mean he just dropped me down from the sky?"

Seth: "I know mom. It is too late. I was looking at the stars and they are beautiful."

Seth: "mmfth" (trying not to open his mouth)
Me: "Seth, what is in your mouth? Open it up please."
Seth: "A booger, that's yucky, I won't eat that again."

Wade: "No, I am not going to sleep in here. I have to stay with Seth."

Me: "What?"
Wade: "Can dad's be bunny scouts too?"
Me: "Oh, do you mean, can dad's be cub scouts?"
Wade: "Yes, that is what I was asking."

Wade: "Mom, we can't go and see "Bolt" at the movie theater because we already watched it and they erased it." (He is used to us erasing shows on our DVR when we are done watching them.)

Wade to Uncle John: "Be careful not to go outside because if the lightening hits you, your heart will stop and your friends will bury your skin."
(meaning: I told him how his Grandma Joyce died when her heart stopped and her spirit went to Heaven and her friends and family buried her body here on earth.)

Seth: "That is yucky for me. I don't like it."

Wade: "Why did she give me mail?"

Me: "Seth, will you come here, please?"
Seth: "Not now, mom, I'm singin'"

Seth: "Look, Mom, he is giving him pizza!" (while looking at a picture of Nephi, the son of Helaman, giving the plates to his son Nephi)

Seth: "Mom?" (as he came into our room at 4:30am)
Me: "Sethie, go back to bed, it is too late."
Seth: starts singing, "It's too late to apologize, it's too late..."

Wade: "Mom, where are we going?"
Me: "To the bank."
Wade: "We can't go to the bank it makes me CRAZY!"
("crazy" is a phrase I often use to describe something that bothers me)
