Wade has been looking forward to cub scouts for a few years. He has watched me serve in several different callings within cubs and has patiently waited for his turn. Well, his first day was extra special because it was the stake day camp held on his actual birthday this year.
Cub Scout Day Camp is a young boy's dream come true...think making bird houses, riding horses, shooting arrows, hiking and lots more! Wade had a blast! They even sang to him in honor of his birthday. It was such a fun day.
When I welcome the boys into cub scouts (part of my calling now), I always challenge them to earn their "Bobcat" by their first pack meeting. Wade did not let me down ;). He was SO excited to earn his first badge!

It is so much fun to (finally) have one of my own in cub scouts with me! Here's to the beginning of my long career as a mother of a scouter.
